&&.RULES}}
*Don't be a douchebag* Just don't.
*Enjoy yourself* That's kinda the whole point here, no? Have fun!
*Respect* Respect your fellow members, the staff and kittens. Everyone here has their own point of view, or religion, race, whatever. I will not stand for any form of racism, sexism, or any form of prejudice and bashing.
*Listen to the Staff* The Staff are in place for a reason. Without some form of guidelines and people to enforce them, a site can easily fall into chaos. If you feel a Staff member is in error, bring it to my attention, (admin), and I will see what I can do.
*Watch your language* I'm not saying you can't swear, but be tasteful with it. Use it to exagurate a point, not as puncuation.
*Don't beg for a Staff position* If at any time we are taking in more staff members, we will post an application form. Do not ask for a staff position otherwise, and do not mope and beg if you are not accepted.
*Don't Spam* Do not post more than once in a row, do not post useless gibberish and rubbish. It is annoying and clutters the topics.
*No Powerplaying or GodModing* Powerplaying is controlling another person's character, whether directly or more subtly. Directly controlling them involves posting what they say or do, and such things. More subtle powerplaying is things like autohitting. Autohitting is where, in a battle, you say that your blow has hit automatically, without giving your opponent a chance to dodge. (This is negated if you play both characters). This also includes killing without permission. GodModing is having a character who is invincible, faster, stronger and smarter than any other. It's a bit ridiculous. You can have strong, skilled characters, but be reasonable. Don't be a sore loser.
*No Mary/Gary-sues* Mary-Sues and Gary-Sues (and their many other labels) are those annoying, perfectly beautiful, problemless characters with a billion friends and no enemies because they're so wonderful and cool and beautiful and perfect etc. Ew. Just... No.
*Characters* There is no character limit, but keep all your characters active.
*Rules* The rules may be updated at any time. If they are, an announcement will be posted. Please check the rules at such times.
*High Ranks* Any one person may have no more than two characters of high rank, and they may not be the same rank, and they may not be in the same clan.
*Don't get graphic with mating* Skip over the scene, fade out or something. No-one wants to see- uh, read about that.
*Obey In Character rules* Have your character obey the warrior code, unless you specifically have a rogue character or such.
*Advertising* You may only advertise in the Advertising&Affiliation board, or in your signature.
*Rogues and Loners* Keep rogues and loners minimal. we can't have seven rogues to every clanmember.
&. My Stance on Literacy.
While I do not expect everyone to be utter elite literates who feel they need to post a short novel for every post, I really would appreciate it if everyone made an effort to use proper, correct English. I definitely will not tolerate chatspeak. It is ugly and lazy, and frustrating for someone to try to read. Similar web languages, such as Leet-speak (1337) will also not be tolerated. While I understand that occasionally everyone makes mistakes and submits typos, it is nicer and easier to understand if you either read over your post, or use the spell-check button provided. I myself often type my longer posts in Microsoft Word beforehand, as the in-built spell-checker comes in handy. Post length does not equate to literacy. While I want neither novels nor one-liner replies, I would expect a good paragraph or so. If you don't respond to another players post with enough detail and depth for them to work wth and reply back, it becomes impossible to roleplay.
In a roleplay I was in a long time ago, I spent a considerable amount of time typing up a long post that described my character's surroundings, what they were doing, their thoughts, as well as what they said, and then the person I was playing with merely replied; ' "okay" rose roared '. I felt like crying. Not literally, but it was inconsiderate of that person. How was I meant to work with that minimal reply?
